Northside is gearing up for OCTOBER MISSIONS MONTH – TAKING IT TO THE STREETS!
LIFE Groups are being challenged to serve together and take Christ’s love to our community by serving through mission / ministry projects. Check in with your LIFE Group and join them in being a part of God’s mission.
If you are unable to serve with your LIFE Group, or have interest in serving with other projects, we invite you to join one of our LIFE Groups in their project. See the list below, sign up to request more information. Fill out the form below and we will get back with you soon!

Homeless Ministry
Ministering to the homeless population at Transitions Homeless Center. They will be handing out toiletry bags, blankets, suitcases and other needed items as well as offering prayer. (church-wide donations being accepted to help)

Volunteer Child Care for Foster Care Conference
CONNIE MAXWELL-THRIVE CONFERENCE
Thrive is an event for foster parents to come and be encouraged, refreshed, and trained as they walk the difficult road of foster care. This event is designed to give them needed training hours and a morning to enjoy fellowship with other parents. We will be volunteering as childcare providers so parents can attend Thrive. More volunteers are needed. Must be an 18+ mature adult to volunteer. Background check required.

Collecting items for the Nancy K. Perry Children’s Shelter, located in downtown Lexington. Delivering the items to the children’s home on Saturday, October 26th.

MISSION COLUMBIA
Class members will distribute door-hangers in their neighborhoods to invite participation. Then, they will pick up donations left by neighbors on designated date. Donations will go to MISSION COLUMBIA to feed those in need in our own community.

Encouragement Verse Bracelet Making
PRISMA HEALTH CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
With several of their LIFE Group families having ongoing care at PHCH, it’s this LIFE Group’s hearts’ desire to encourage the children and youth receiving care there. They will have a bead/verse bracelet making time and prayer for the community receiving care at PHCH.

Nursing home and assisted living facility visits Class members will serve by visiting various nursing homes and assisted living facilities to visit, pay and serve the Lord’s Supper.

Supply Collection for Teachers in Low Income Areas
Putting together care packages for teachers and their classrooms.
Specifically collecting for teachers in low income areas where parents may not be able to assist teachers in stocking their classrooms with supplies needed for the year. (Church-wide donations being accepted to help. Drop donations off to RM 257, 9:30 AM Sundays).

Partner with Sistercare in their October toiletry drive as well as collect other needs on their “Wishlist.” (Church-wide donations being accepted to help. Drop donations off to RM 133, 11 AM Sundays).
