GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES
APPALACHIA MISSION*
Jim Harris
For the past 16 years, folks from Northside have gone into the mountains of Eastern Kentucky to share God’s love with a culture that desperately needs hope. While there, this group puts together vacation Bible schools for both children and adults. Adult VBS is held in adult centers and a nursing home. Children’s VBS is held in the morning at a Daycare and in the evenings at different churches. They conduct a food drive at local grocery stores to replenish the food pantry, “kit up” several boxes of the food and go into the hollers to share the love of Jesus along with the food.
This mission takes place the 2nd week of June each year.

COSTA RICA STUDENT MISSION TRIP
Pastor Matthew Purvis
This is Northside Students first internation mission trip. We are partnering with GC2 Ministries (https://www.gc2ministries.org/) by leading a VBS program and youth outreaches. GC2 aims to plant churches and make disciples. The team comes in by helping a church plant reach their community in a way they otherwise could not do to lack of people and resources. What a mission team accomplishes in one week can take a local church plant 3 months to accomplish.
2025 TRIP DATES: June 6-13, 2025
The team is full – 16 students and 4 leaders.
AWADHI PEOPLE – SOUTH ASIA
Donna Scarboro
South Asia has been a land of darkness for many years. The area of the Awadhi is now on the top-10 watch list for Christian persecution. As reported by Open Doors USA, in the most recent year at least 12,500 Christians and about 100 churches have been attacked – and this is only from documented incidents. The good news is that God continues to work in a mighty way, making His name known to Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims. In our 19th year of ministering in South Asia, we are incredibly blessed to partner with our national pastor, a dedicated man of God who, with his family and staff work tirelessly to spread the gospel to the unreached people groups of South Asia.
This is an annual 10-day mission trip. We typically send a team in the beginning months of the calendar year.

Northside partners with World Nations International in Indonesia, where we assist with a Mission Training Center in Indonesia. Disaster Relief
George and Natalie Poepping
Disaster Relief (DR) is an excellent ministry for people who enjoy serving others. Some DR work interacts directly with the victims, some is behind the scenes, some is physically demanding, and some is less tiring. Most people can participate in some aspect of DR, which include mass cooking, chain saw, child care, laundry, shower, mud out, ash out, chaplaincy, rebuild and others. We have teams that have served in Chile, Texas, Maryland, Alabama, and Florida, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, North Carolina and several times in South Carolina.
